Gel Can Save Feet Of Diabetics?
Diabetes affects a person's blood circulation, and that can be disastrous for someone's feet.
Diabetic foot wounds are dangerous.
The real risk is the development of infection and then a loss of a body part -- toe, foot, or even a leg.
There's now a new gel that stimulates blood vessels around the wound.
One participant tried the gel and wore a special boot to keep pressure off the wound.
"Twelve weeks later, my ulcers are gone, said Russell Bressman, a diabetic. Nobody should be walking around with ulcers, like I was for 3 years, in pain, on crutches, on a walker with a cane when they can get cured."
If you're a diabetic with adequate circulation and you have foot wounds that are not infected and you'd like to take part in the study and try the gel, click here.
