Although the Secretary of State’s office is pursuing unethical sports agents, as part of that pursuit, it is investigating UNC athletes and their interaction with said agents.
Needless to say, these state officers have much more power than the toothless NCAA and they have come up with some hard facts about money going to athletes, including Marvin Austin, who confirmed this to state agents.
Also most interesting: a FedEx package was sent to an address where Jennifer Wiley, who formerly tutored for UNC, once lived.
As Deep Throat said in the Watergate scandal, follow the money.
Now what we’d like to know is: what was the incentive for Julius Nyang’oro and Deborah Crowder, formerly chair and administrator for the the Department of African and Afro-American Studies, to pass out unearned grades?
