Throughout the summer, the FIT Family Series visits six beautiful venues. Each venue features a Kidz Triathlon & Duathlon on Saturday followed by a Women's Only Triathlon, a mini, sprint & Olympic distance triathlon and duathlon on Sunday. So whether you're racing for an overall title or giving multisport racing a try for the first time, the FIT Family Series is for YOU! It's ALL ABOUT FUN! Warren County Armco Park is an exciting new venue for the FIT Family Series for 2013 and will provide triathletes a swim in the Armco Lake while duathletes are treated to a flat and fast run through the park. The bike courses will feature the rolling hills of Warren County before heading back to the park for a closing run on the roads within the park. MINI TRIATHLON & DUATHLON The mini distance triathlon will start off with a 250 yard out & back swim (along the shoreline) of Armco Lake, followed by a 7 mile loop course through the rolling countryside and finishing with 2 mile out and back run within Warren County Armco Park. Duathletes will start off with a 2 mile run. SPRINT TRIATHLON & DUATHLON The sprint distance triathlon features a 750 meter counter clockwise rectangle swim in Armco Lake, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k across within Warren County Armco Park, followed by a single loop 20k bike course through the rollwing countryside surrounding the park and finishing with an out & back 5k run within Warren County Armco Park before returning for a grand finish at the park. OLYMPIC TRIATHLON & DUATHLON The Olympic distance triathlon features a 1500 meter 2-lap counter clockwise rectangle swim in Warren County Armco Park, while the duathletes are running an out & back 5k within Warren County Armco Park, followed by a double loop 40k bike course through the rolling countryside surrounding the park and finishing with an out & back 10k run that circles Armco Lake to the turnaround before returning for a grand finish at the park. RELAYS For those who prefer to race one element of the triathlon or duathlon we offer a relay division for our sprint and Olympic distance triathlons and duathlons. Relay teams consist of three (3) members (1 swimmer, 1 biker, 1 runner); each member will complete one segment of the race (2 members for duathlon teams). Each team member will exchange their timing chip bracelet at their assigned bike rack. There are NO age groups in this division. Awards All finishers will receive a handsome finisher medal and the top three in each division will receive custom awards (including relay teams).
