There will be a water station at about the halfway point. There are two ways to run; “competitive” runners will be issued chips, receive official times, and be eligible for awards, while “recreational” runners/ walkers will not receive official times, and won’t be eligible for awards, but will be able to see their finishing time on a digital clock at the finish line. On-site registration may be available if this event is not full, but your best bet is to register online. RACE DAY INFORMATION: 1:00-2:00 pm: Day of Registration and Packet Pick Up 2:30 pm: 5K Start Time 3:15 pm: Awards Ceremony 3:30-4:00 pm: Post Race Festival with Music and Food PACKET PICKUP: Advanced Packet Pickup is at Raleigh Running Outfitters, 7449 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 3:00pm- 5:00pm. Day of packet pickup is 1:00-2:00pm RACE AMENITIES: Runners will receive the official 2013 Running Over Cancer 5K T-shirt, and water and food at the finish. The top finishers in each age group will receive Gift Cards to Raleigh Running Outfitters. T-shirt Sizes and Style: Adult: Small, Medium, Large, or Extra Large RACE CATEGORIES: The top male and female runner and the top 3 runners (male or female) in each category receive gift cards to Raleigh Running Outfitters. Age Groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39 , 40-49, 60+ VOLUNTEER INFORMATION: Volunteers should arrive at 11:00am on race day and stay through clean up which will end around 4:30pm. All high school students will receive community service hours.
