Observe some of the over 200 species of birds that visit the site, with a well-informed guide to help you identify them. Birding tours accommodate 25 people. Tours last approximately two hours. Participants should bring binoculars, a camera, and water. Dress for the desert environment. Birding tours are partially accessible for the mobility and visually impaired, and not accessible for the hearing impaired. Birding tours are available on the third Saturday of each month. Reservations are required, and are taken until the tour is full. Call (915) 849-6684 for reservations and information. There is a $2 activity fee for ages 5 and above in addition to the $7 entrance fee for ages 13 and above. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, pets are not allowed on tours; for their safety pets may not be left in vehicles unattended. Tour participants register at park headquarters.
