After nearly 100 million votes, America has chosen their "American Idol."

It was a star studded event with several A-list celebrities hitting the "American Idol" stage.

Many contestants from this season were able to sing with some of the best singers in the industry.

Lil Rounds sang “Cue The Rain” with Queen Latifah, then Alexis Grace, Anoop Desai sang “I’m Yours” with Jason Mraz, Allison Iraheta sang “Time After Time” with Cyndi Lauper and Danny Gokey also performed with Lionel Richie.

Winner Kris Allen performed “Kiss a Girl” in duet with Keith Urban.

Finalist Adam Lambert performed with legends KISS. “Rock-n-Roll All Night” was the song of choice for the band and Lambert who was dressed in KISS attire to the fullest.

Steve Martin also hit the stage playing the banjo with Megan Joy and Michael Sarver.

Carlos Santana, Rod Stewart and Queen also performed during the finale event.

Kris Allen has been crowned the "American Idol" for 2009. He performed "No Boundaries” as fans celebrated in the crowd.
