Some contestants did not get the feedback they would have liked from the judges.Contestants were able to choose which ever song they wanted as long as it was a popular download on iTunes. To start the show Anoop Desai hit the stage with the upbeat Usher song “Caught Up” the all of the judges felt Desai could have done better and should have made a different song selection.Next came jazzy singer Megan Joy singing a Bob Marley favorite “Turn The Lights Down Low,” again the judges thought the song selection was not right for joy.The judges were impressed with Danny Gokey’s performance of the Rascal Flatts hit “What Hurts The Most,” saying he conveyed emotion and started the show. The judges were mostly worried about the outfit Allison Iraheta had on and the image she was portraying saying she did not need a rocker look when she sang “Don’t Speak,” by No Doubt. Along with her outfit, her performance did not impress the judges as well.“Just The Way You Are,” by Billy Joel was the song of choice for Scott MacIntyre which pleased the judges. He was playing the piano during his song and the judges loved how he added his own flare to the song. Judges thought “You Found Me” by The Fray was also a poor song selection for Matt Giraud. The judges felt Lil Rounds version of “I Surrender” by Celine Dion was a little old school but they liked it.The judges loved the last two performances of the night by Adam Lambert and Kris Allen made the judges extremely happy.Lambert hit the stage with the classic “Play That Funky Music,” by Wild Cherry and Allen sang “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Will Young.Tomorrow another “American Idol” hopeful will be sent home, watch it only on Fox.
