Driver Accused Of Leaving With Nozzle In Car

LYNN, Mass. -- Flames ignited at a Lynn gas station after a driver allegedly pulled away with a gas pump handle in his car on Wednesday.Boston television station WCVB reported that gas station owner Mohammed Belal said that the driver bought $20 worth of gas at the Richdale gas station.He wanted another $10, and while that was being pumped into his Silver Toyota, the man drove off with the nozzle in his car.The incident pulled the pump down and caused an explosion and fire."I am relieved because no one got hurt -- not my employee, not my customer," Belal said.The owner said that it will take a while to get his pumps repaired.The driver, whose name has not been released, may face charges for leaving the scene of an accident, according to police.
