Lil, Anoop Say Goodbye To 'Idol'

Posted: 9:13 pm MDT April 22, 2009Updated: 9:42 pm MDT April 22, 2009

Wednesday’s show started off with a disco performance from the last seven contestants in a piece choreographed by American Idol judge Paula Abdul.

Not very long after, Lil Rounds was told she was going home. She hit the stage for the last time singing “I’m Every Woman,” which the judges seemed to like.

Next during the elimination show, guests Freda Payne, Thelma Houston, KC and the Sunshine Band and former American Idol contestant David Archuleta each had their moment and performed.

Anoop Desai and Allison Iraheta are in the bottom three but ultimately Desai is sent home.

The top five will continue to battle it out until only one contestant stands.

Contestants in the top five are: Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta, Matt Giraud.

"Idol" continues next week only on Fox.
